The Jockey Club Recruits New Talent to Boost Operations

The British racetrack management group, The Jockey Club, has undergone significant alterations to its personnel. They have recruited three new individuals to enhance their operational efficiency in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Charlie Boss has assumed the role of Chief Commercial Officer. He joins from The Walt Disney Company, where he held the position of head of ESPN’s operations in Europe and Africa. He has also held positions with the Rugby Football Union and the Football Association in England.

Alexandra Goldschmidt is the new Partnerships Director. She will be temporarily filling the position vacated by Kerry Weeks, who is currently on maternity leave. Goldschmidt previously served as Commercial Director for Harlequins, a rugby team, and also worked for the NFL in the UK.

Hannah Grosvenor is the newly appointed National Sales Director. She is already a member of The Jockey Club, and is now advancing within the organization.

Grosvenors elevation within the organization comes after a long tenure at the Jockey Club, dating back to 2008. He has held various leadership roles, including Head of Sales, Business Development Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Regional Sales Director.

“These appointments showcase our commitment to recognizing and fostering talent within the Jockey Club, a strategy that will bolster our resilience in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated Niven Trusdale, the newly appointed Jockey Club CEO.

“Charlie and Alex bring a wealth of experience to their respective roles, having collaborated with renowned organizations like Disney, the NFL, ESPN, the Rugby Football League, the FA, and Harlequin. Hannah’s accomplishments are a testament to her dedication and the supportive environment at the Jockey Club, making her an exemplary figure for all Jockey Club employees to emulate.”

Trusdale assumed his new leadership position earlier this month, having served as acting CEO since August 2020, following the departure of former CEO Delia Bushell.
