Sportradar Achieves IBIA Data Standards Certification

Sportradar has achieved official recognition from the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) for the quality of its data. This accreditation is a significant milestone in the sports wagering industry, signifying that Sportradar gathers information of the highest caliber.

Sportradar successfully underwent a rigorous examination conducted by eCOGRA, an organization specializing in evaluating online gaming platforms. The IBIA’s newly established standards are exceptionally stringent, ensuring the accuracy and transparency of data. These standards emphasize three key areas: employee training, data collection procedures, and data reporting practices.

The guidelines stipulate that all data gatherers must be at least 18 years of age and have undergone background checks. They are also required to receive training on identifying and reporting any potential data discrepancies.

Sportradar is obligated to provide clear information regarding the source of its data, its accuracy, and its reliability. They must detail their data collection methods, whether it involves attending events in person or observing them through television broadcasts.

Anya Martin, the head of Regulatory and Compliance at Sportradar, stated: “At Sportradar, we are dedicated to providing our customers and collaborators with the most dependable and top-notch data products.

Sportradar invests significantly in quality control systems and procedures, implementing the industry’s most rigorous security measures to ensure the products delivered to downstream markets are trustworthy. Achieving the IBIA’s Data Standards Certification further demonstrates Sportradar’s unwavering dedication to data quality, integrity, and openness.

Stats Perform, another data provider, recently became the first organization to subscribe to the agency’s new data collection standards.

Khalid Ali, the chief executive of IBIA, added: “We are thrilled to recognize Sportradar as our newest Data Standards Certification recipient. IBIA has developed standards and certification to guarantee the highest levels of transparency and accuracy in the collection and supply chain of sports data. Companies like Sportradar that have been audited have proven their strong internal procedures in gathering sports data for betting purposes. Accurate data compilation gives both sports enthusiasts and bettors confidence that the games they are watching are fair, honest, and played at the highest level of competition.”

In addition to expanding its data partnership with the International Tennis Federation, Sportradar earlier this month also signed a data and streaming agreement with the International Cricket Council.”
