DraftKings’ Golden Nugget Online Gaming Receives Authorization to Operate in Kansas

DraftKings’ subsidiary, Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG), has obtained the authorization to operate in Kansas. They have joined forces with Butler National Corporation, the entity managing Boot Hill Casino and Resort.

This signifies that GNOG will introduce their online sports wagering platform in Kansas. Residents across the state will have the opportunity to place bets on sporting events. This agreement is still pending state approval.

Kansas’ newly enacted legislation permits casinos to collaborate with a maximum of three sports betting firms. These partnerships allow for both online and in-casino wagering options.

Clark Stewart, the head of Butler National Corporation, expressed their intention to commence sports betting services by September 1st. This coincides with the commencement date for casinos to accept wagers.

Stewart remarked, “GNOG is a prominent figure in the gaming industry. We are thrilled for our patrons to experience online sports betting through their widely recognized platform.”

Furthermore, we are thrilled that DraftKings, as the parent organization of Golden Nugget Online Gaming, will be able to offer Kansas citizens a smooth, safe, and top-notch sports wagering experience through its GNOG brand sports betting platform, pending the required regulatory authorizations.

Besides Boot Hill, Kansas Star Casino, Kansas Speedway Hollywood Casino, and Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel have all been granted licenses to provide sports betting services commencing September 1st.

Native American casinos are also in discussions with the state administration concerning sports betting arrangements, and once these agreements are finalized, these casinos will be permitted to provide sports betting services.
