Nevadas gaming income in March decreased to $1.29 billion, a 3.7% decline from February.
The $1.29 billion in earnings (equal to £1.03 billion/€1.2 billion) was less than the $1.34 billion in February and also 1.5% lower than the same period last year. The state collected $86.5 million in taxes during that month.
Slot machines remained the primary source of income, producing $874.5 million in March, representing 67.8% of the month’s total revenue. Nevada’s slot machine revenue in March was 5.7% higher than the $827.6 million in February. However, multi-currency slot machines were still the only machines in this segment to record year-over-year growth.

The Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers with a score of 25-22 at Allegiant Stadium.
Despite the basketball division generating a substantial $32.5 million in income, the football division’s $12.9 million deficit significantly reduced profits, which were largely driven by the March Madness tournament.
The Las Vegas Strip also experienced a decrease in revenue during March.
While the Las Vegas Strip surpassed $800 million in revenue in February, Nevada was unable to maintain that success in March.
The Las Vegas Strip generated only $715.9 million in revenue in March, representing a 10.6% decline from the $800.7 million generated in February. The March figures were also down 1.2% from the $724.6 million generated in the same month the previous year.
Slot machine revenue on the Strip reached a total of $401.4 million, an increase from $381 million the preceding month. However, table, counter, and card game revenue came in at $314.4 million, a decrease of over 25% from $419.7 million in February.
