ASEAN Gaming Summit 2023: A Resounding Success in Manila

The recently concluded 2023 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Gaming Conference in Manila was a resounding triumph! This iteration witnessed unprecedented participation, drawing close to 1,300 gaming specialists from every corner of the world. Attendees included industry leaders from Armenia and Macau to the United Kingdom and Australia, all keen to connect and discover the newest industry developments.

A significant addition this year was a designated exposition space. This provided enterprises such as BetConstruct and GamingPe an exceptional stage to present their state-of-the-art technologies and offerings. Naturally, the robust backing from the Philippines’ gaming regulatory body, PAGCOR, was impossible to overlook. Their recently appointed chairman, Alejandro H. Tengco, even delivered a keynote presentation.

Another notable presenter was Hann Resorts CEO, Daesik Han. He guided the audience through the company’s trajectory and provided a glimpse into their ambitious growth strategies. In summary, the 2023 ASEAN Gaming Summit served as a testament to the industry’s remarkable expansion and promise within the region.

Luis Pereira, Asia Gaming Brief’s top executive, underscored the ASEAN Gaming Summit’s importance. He remarked, “This year’s gathering was our most substantial to date, demonstrating the industry’s resilient rebound, emerging more robust and dynamic than ever following the pandemic’s difficulties. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the team for their dedication in orchestrating such a triumphant event. We are delighted with the revised structure, expanding on last year’s achievements and establishing a solid base for future iterations.”

He continued, “This accomplishment wouldn’t have materialized without the steadfast backing of our industry collaborators, notably PAGCOR, to whom we express our immense gratitude. We are also thankful to the operators from throughout the area who engaged actively and imparted their valuable perspectives. Undoubtedly, a major highlight of this year’s gathering was the remarkable speaker roster. A sincere thank you to each panelist, moderator, and speaker for not only dedicating their time but also sharing their invaluable expertise. We eagerly anticipate your feedback and will utilize it to enhance the next edition!”

Vicky Chan, also holding the General Manager position at Asia Gaming Brief, conveyed her excitement about the event’s reception: “We’ve been inundated with favorable responses from our sponsors and exhibitors. This marked our inaugural Summit and Exhibition of this magnitude, and achieving such resounding success, with the presence of numerous C-suite executives and industry leaders, is genuinely gratifying.”

She also mentioned that participants are enthusiastic about the approaching gathering and eager to network with important customers internationally.

The ASEAN Gaming Summit finished with a poker social at City of Dreams Manila and a goodbye celebration at XYLO in The Palace Manila.
